Heatilator Launches New Direct Vent Gas Fireplaces for the Custom Home Market

New Icon Series meets custom homeowner demands for a grand direct vent gas fireplace

Size matters. Well, at least it does for many custom home owners. That’s why Heatilator introduces the Icon Series direct vent gas fireplaces. The new Icon 60 and Icon 100 strike a balance between custom homeowners’ desire for grand fireplaces common in the past and the latest direct vent technology available today. Creating a fire with spectacular flame height, the Icon Series provides a broad viewing area and instills an ambience that harks back to a time when fireplaces were the major focal point of a home.

“Our new Icon Series fireplaces reflect the move toward larger and more traditional style fireplaces in the custom home market,” says Kathy Repp, Heatilator Brand Manager. “Yet beyond their traditional appearance and grand size, the Icon 60 and Icon 100 also employ the latest technology that makes them easy to install and operate.” 

The Icon 60 model features an opening height of thirty-two inches and has a true brick-to-brick opening width of twenty-nine inches. The Icon 100 model has a height of thirty-three inches and a width of forty-five inches. Both models produce generous amounts of heat and use a sealed combustion chamber to preserve indoor air quality and prevent negative air pressure issues. Additionally, the Icon Series clean face design to help mimic the appearance of a masonry fireplace.

A traditional or herringbone high-end refractory is available along with the choice of two designer fronts in three finishes: black, pewter or brushed nickel. The Icon Series also features a large log set that’s tightly detailed to match the appearance of real wood. The Icon 60 generates 48,000 BTUs and the Icon 100 generates an additional 11,000.
