As a part of Fire Prevention Week, the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) has made it their mission to educate people about reducing the risk of home fires, as well as providing safety guidelines for staying safe in the event of a fire.

 

Every home should have at least one fire alarm on every level and ensuring they function properly is key to keeping everyone in the home safe. Most fire alarms have batteries and replacing them periodically is critical to ensuring they sound in the event of a fire.
