Ideas for game time fun time around the fireplace.

The snow is flying and so are footballs. Why not gather up the troops for some togetherness around the fire while cheering on your favorite team? Here are our ideas for making it a party.

Pregame Highlights

Tell everyone to dig out their favorite team jersey and sport it! And dress up your home by strategically placing a couple footballs around the room (real, or the Nerf variety). Do a quick drive-through at a dollar store for red-and-white checkered tablecloths and perhaps some pompoms for the kids to play with.

Lineup and Kickoff
Put a big, well-stocked cooler in the middle of the room! No one will accuse you of a false start if it’s full of beverages everyone loves and plenty of ice. You know the drill.

The Halftime Show
With two quarters down and two to go, everyone’s working up an appetite. Keep the menu simple and serve foods that kids of all ages like, such as buffalo wings, sub sandwiches, vegetable trays and chips and dip.

Fourth Quarter
A party without dessert is like getting a touchdown without the field goal. Avoid any disappointment by serving a themed sweet treat, like these cupcakes.

We think there’s no better (or warmer) place to host a tailgate party this time of year than at home, in the glow of your hearth. So pull out your calendar and plan a date!

From all of us at Heatilator, enjoy football season!
